The ACE Award is designed to provide a good practice framework and recognition of excellence for organizations that are providing support and guidance services for young people – particularly schools, colleges, and learning providers.
It is an impartial assessment process created and supported by the local Connexions partnerships within the Greater Manchester area; which enables organizations to gain formal external accreditation.
The ACE Award is about Connexions in its broadest sense and within schools and colleges covers Careers Education, PSHE, WRL and Citizenship. It deals with personal and career development issues within learning and training providers.
Organizations can use the Award to support their own in house quality assurance process without attempting formal accreditation.
