Mental health

Most of people experience a few ‘ups’ and ‘downs’ in their lives like feeling happy, feeling sad and miserable. You might be worried because

  • you’ve got exams coming up
  • about getting a job
  • about going to college.

These can all make you feel down; as can

  • falling out with your friends or family
  • finishing a relationship.

You might you feel stressed or depressed; it’s quite common, and usually the feelings will come and go. Sometimes though you might not be able to shake off your feelings so you should talk to someone you feel that you can trust – friends, parents, your Personal Adviser or your GP as you might have a medical condition that needs some treatment.

The Samaritans can offer support - try their helpline - 08457 90 90 90
